relationship of parts is a series of photographs of temporary paper sculptural assemblages of installation excerpts, cast-offs, ephemera, and studio detritus. These are speculative diagrams connecting elements with embedded social histories, fragments of the built environment, or approximations of natural forms. In the photographs, you might see a megaphone, cut paper drawing of protestors standing arm-in-arm, bundles of illegible text, a brick, the facade of a condo, tree branches, or a palm leaf. Objects are bound, taped, suspended, and precariously balanced upon one another. Their ultimate purpose is ambiguous, but for at least a moment, they are reliant upon one another to hold the whole.
