exhibition/pop-up sale (12/1-12/29): re:home, Minnesota Street Project gallery 200
I have an edition of my Market Street Posters on sale at the re:home Community Action Center Pop-Up shop. A portion of the sale will be donated to groups including Bay Area Solidarity Summer, Chinese Progressive Association, Chinese for Affirmative Action, Densho.org, and the Shuumi Land Tax.
AKArt, re.riddle, and Collect for Change have curated a For Freedoms exhibition exploring the plight of political and economic refugees in the San Francisco Bay Area – examining sanctuary city, homelessness and the flight of the creative class. The project is on view at Minnesota Street Project from December 1 – 29, 2018.
The exhibition is accompanied by a Community Action Center for attendees to connect with organizations working on the forefront of the issues reflected in the show. The Center also features a Pop-Up shop of prints, artist editions, and books, as well as a For Freedoms lending library of books focused on the relevant topics. Portions of proceeds from select works will go to community organizations selected by each of the participating artists.
